Wombats are one of the most odd-looking animals you’ll ever see in Australia. They are marsupials just like koalas and kangaroos. They are short-legged and muscular marsupials that are native to Australia.
They are champion in digging burrows. They use their strong feet with long claws to dig up burrows in the Australian bush and open grasslands. These burrows will serve as their home. The burrow has only one entrance but then branches out with several tunnels.
Wombats may seem to be pudgy and slow, but they can run up to 25 miles per hour. They are active at evening or night mainly because they are nocturnal. They like to feed on grasses, roots and bark. What makes them unique is they have cube-shape poop! They use their cube-shape poop to mark their territory.
