The quokka is a famous marsupial which is native to Rottness Island and can be found almost everywhere in the island. Rottness island is just 19 km off the coast of Perth City. It became popular right after it was seen on a photo selfie with the tennis superstar Roger Federer and Australian actor Chris Hemsworth. It became a tourist attraction as people visits the island with the intention to see “happiest animal” on earth and have a selfie with the quokkas.
If you want to take a good selfie with the quokkas, the best times are early morning and early evening. It is nocturnal, meaning they are mostly active at night and prefers to sleep or rest during the day in shaded areas.
