It is known for its distinctive hopping, muscular tails, strong back legs, large feet, short fur and long, pointed ears.
Kangaroos belong to the Macropodidae family, which includes tree-kangaroos, wallabies, wallaroos, quokkas and pademelons. Like all marsupials, the female kangaroos have pouches in which they carry their young known as “joeys”. Kangaroos are herbivores, primarily grazing on grasses and other vegetation.
