Fraser Island

Fraser island is a world heritage listed island with many interesting features and attractions. It is the largest sand island in the world located in Queensland Australia. The island can be access by 4WD or by K’gari (Fraser Island) Great Walk, a 90km track great walk. It would take about 6-8 days to complete the K’gari (Fraser Island) Great Walk. The Butchulla people’s (aboriginal people of the island) traditional name for Fraser island is K’gari which means paradise.

A visit to the island is not complete without going to Lake Mckenzie, Lake Wabby, Eli Creek, Maheno Wreck and Champagne Pools. If you don’t want to go camping, the island has accommodations that suits every budget.
