If you are up for a four-wheel driving adventure with scenic coastline, dramatic red cliffs and white sandy beaches, a visit to Francois Peron National Park should be on your bucket list. It is located within the boundary of Shark Bay World Heritage Area in Western Australia. It is the home to various rare and endangered species.
To get here, the road access is via Peron Homestead but high clearance 4WDs are essential for travel further north into the park. If you don’t have a 4WD don’t fret because there is a 4WD eco-tour available for you.
The best time to visit the Francois Peron National Park is between April and October when the winds is generally lightest, and the temperature is in the mid-20s.
